Insulin Potential Therapy, an alternative cancer treatment

Conventional cancer treatment methods like chemotherapy involve injecting toxic chemicals in the body to kill the cancer cells. As a result, healthy cells in the patient’s body are also killed, affecting health and immunity.

Insulin Potentiation Therapy, abbreviated as IPT is being marketed as an alternate way to treat cancer without destroying the healthy cells. This therapy is based on the fact that cancer cells use glucose for energy and do not use oxygen. Hence the cancer cells have twenty times more insulin receptors compared to the normal cells in the body and absorb the glucose in the body first before other cells.

In IPT, insulin is injected in the body and it will lock into the cancer cells since they have more insulin receptors. This is then used for delivery low dose chemotherapy, and killing the cancer cells. It should be noted that it is not a proven technology and there are some who claim that it is dangerous for health.
